Teenager descends the stairs drunk while sheriffs break into New York’s illegal ‘bottle club’

A 17-year-old boy fell drunk down a flight of stairs when sheriff’s delegates raided an illegal “bottle club” in Tribeca, officials said.

“When questioned, he told the sheriffs that he had consumed alcoholic beverages that he bought at the party,” officials said of the boy, who was “visibly drunk” and had to be taken to the New York City Presbyterian Hospital.

It was a wild party even before the sheriffs invaded the site, on Harrison Street, on the corner of Hudson Street, around 11 pm on Friday – after witnessing some 40 people lined up trying to get in.

More than 123 people were up there, “drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana and not wearing masks,” New York City sheriff Joseph Fucito said in a press release.

Members arrested the club’s alleged host, Kurt David, 30, of Roslyn, NY, accusing him of selling drinks to someone under the age of 21 and violating emergency pandemic restrictions against large meetings.

An accused bartender, two DJs and a party official accused of selling 3.5-gram packages of marijuana were also arrested on the spot.

The 17-year-old, whose name has not been released, escaped from prison, if not from punishment – “The deputies remained with the minor until his parents took custody of him,” said Fucito.
