St. Vincent is preparing to release the new album Dad’s house this spring, and she is launching it through the time-tested means of viral antics. Last week, St. Vincent announced the album with a series of retro 70s-style poster ads in New York. In the first edition of your weekly newsletter The New Cue, Annie Clark wrote about the new LP, describing it as “the sound of being down in downtown New York, 1973. Glamor that hasn’t slept for three days”. St. Vincent hasn’t shared any of the songs on the album yet, but today, she’s using a trailer and a hotline to give us a few seconds of the first single “Pay Your Way In Pain”.
