There is a Metroid Prime demake in progress and it has a demo

Nintendo, do something with this series besides delay it

Metroid Prime it’s a classic. I don’t think that is a matter of debate. Only that.

Nintendo thinks so! That’s why they released it again years later in the form of a Wii trilogy after their GameCube debut in 2002. But since the 2009 Wii edition, the series has remained dormant. I mean, there’s supposed to be another one in the works! But that could be years away right now. Join the fandom.

There is still a large collective demonstration around the Metroid franchise in general, as well as the best Series. One of these groups managed to prepare a demake of Metroid Prime, which is now available as a demo. The demo mentioned involves Tallon Overworld, Artifact Temple and Chozo Ruins, but the team “needs to spend more time” working on it to expand the configuration.

The demonstration itself is the result of five years of work by the “SCU Team”. Presumably to avoid legal issues, the team is calling this project “Prime 2D”, although I’m not sure that will be enough if Nintendo really wants to get it right.

Since I will inevitably receive the “thank you Destructoid, you personally sent an email to Nintendo to turn it off!” messages, I will note here that the creators of the project post a public post for the demo, and “Let’s Plays” is already on YouTube (like the one below), one of the largest video platforms in the world, for public viewing. The “secret” has been revealed!
