The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating recent domestic violence allegations against Marilyn Manson, such as Advertising panel points. “The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Office is investigating allegations of domestic violence involving Mr. Brian Warner, also known as ‘Marilyn Manson,’ who works in the music industry,” said a representative from the Department of LA Sheriff Advertising panel. “The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011, when Mr. Warner lived in the city of West Hollywood.”
Pitchfork contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for comment.
On February 1, actress Evan Rachel Wood came forward naming Manson as her assailant, saying he had “abused [her] horribly for years ”while they were in a relationship. Although she had already talked about how to survive domestic violence, it was the first time that she called Manson.
Manson responded with a general denial statement on Instagram. “Obviously, my art and my life have always been magnets for controversy, but these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “
Following the allegations, Manson’s record company, television programs and reservation agency abandoned him. Several other women reported their own experiences with the singer. Jenna Jameson said in an interview with Daily Mail that Manson had fantasized about burning her alive and biting her non-consensually during sex. The actress Esmé Bianco told New york magazine Manson abused her physically and psychologically while they were in a relationship, leaving her with scars on her body and PTSD.
Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice later said that Manson tried to film her skirt with a GoPro camera at a music festival. Phoebe Bridgers added that he once referred to a space as the “r * pe room” in his home.
Dita Von Teese, who was married to Manson for a year, issued a statement saying that the other women’s reports “did not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple”.
