Amy Schumer jokingly calls Natalie Portman a ‘big liar’, while she says the Star Wars actress has promised that her ‘parenting instinct’ would kick in … but it didn’t happen
Amy Schumer is assessing her mothering skills, with the help of her friend Natalie Portman.
On Wednesday, the 39-year-old comedian told Seth Meyers in an episode of Late Night that his instincts were “all wrong” when it came to raising his 21-month-old son, Gene.
Quoting Portman for giving her motherhood advice and telling him to lean on her maternal ‘instincts’, she jokingly labeled her a ‘big liar’.

High hopes: Amy Schumer, 39, jokingly, calls Natalie Portman a ‘big liar’ regarding the advice to parents she gave him telling him to trust his instincts when raising 21-month-old son Gene
Meyers asked Schumer if she felt like a ‘good mother’, which led the Expecting Amy star to elaborate.
“Not really,” she confessed.
‘It’s interesting. You don’t know how good you are going to be from a parent. I received a nice piece of advice from Natalie Portman, that was how it was. “You have more instincts than you think.” ‘
She continued, ‘And what I’m finding is that Natalie Portman is a big liar. Because so far, my instincts are completely wrong. ‘

Instinctive: quoting Portman for telling her that his maternal instincts would kick in, Schumer said, ‘What I’m finding is that Natalie Portman is a big liar. Because so far, my instincts are totally wrong ‘
Amy continued, ‘I’ve been reading this book to parents, How Toddlers Thrive … usually, if Chris and I leave Gene with the babysitter, we sneak out … like an idiot in a cartoon, or I’m just going to fall behind the couch , just not to cry or freak out.
‘And this book for parents, as page one is like,’ Whatever you do, don’t run. This is very bad for your child, ‘and I’m fine.’
Schumer also mentioned the fact that she accidentally called her son ‘genital’ – Gene Attell – which she didn’t realize until she heard his name out loud.
‘What’s boring now is that you can never make fun of another celebrity when they call your son something stupid … because it’s like’ well, how did you call your daughter Amy? ‘
