Zimbabwe initiates 30-day blocking regulations as infections increase

The Zimbabwe government plans to start 30 days of blocking regulations after an increase in coronavirus infections during the holiday season, said Vice President Constatino Chiwenga late Saturday.

“Meetings are reduced to no more than 30 people at all funerals,” Chiwenga told reporters in the capital, Harare. “All other meetings at weddings, churches, bars, bottle shops, the gym, restaurants are prohibited for 30 days. Restaurants, bottle shops and bars are closed for 30 days, except for bars and restaurants catering to hotel residents. “

Essential services, such as hospitals, pharmacies and supermarkets, with only essential employees, can open.
