After Kim Kardashian West was successful in the lobby President Trump release, release Alice Marie Johnson, she started working to do the same for many others, including Chris Young … and Trump delivered.
Prez used his last day in office to grant pardons and commutations, and among the list of prisoners he commuted is Young … that Kim started defending in 2018.
As you may remember … Kim visited the white house in September 2018 – a few months after Alice’s release – to continue to fight for criminal justice reform, and she attacked Young’s case.

Much like Alice, Young was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 2014 for nonviolent drug crimes – marijuana and possession of cocaine – as part of Tennessee’s 3-strike law. He was only 22 at the time.
Sources close to the situation tell TMZ … Kim has remained involved with Young’s legal team since his meeting with WH and continued to draw attention to the case. We’re told that Alice was also involved in helping Chris – they share the same lawyer, Brittany Barnett.
The White House ad says, “Many supporters of Mr. Young describe him as an intelligent and positive person who takes full responsibility for his actions …” Although Kim was not mentioned among the various names of criminal justice reform advocates who helped Young, his broadening of the case on social media certainly brought the necessary attention.
The statement said Young “did not have a significant first chance in life because of what another federal judge called ‘undeniably tragic childhood'”. Adding the switch gives Young a second chance.

BTW … Chris earned his GED and taught himself to code behind bars … so he will have an edge in the job market.
