As we approached the one-year anniversary of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, we did not anticipate that the nation’s population would return to that memorable mark of early quarantine: being extremely excited online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (We mean more than usual.) But between the recent #BussItChallenge and the even more recent #SilhouetteChallenge, TikTok continues to point a mirror at society, and society cannot help but notice how well they are doing now.
Namely, on Sunday, Tiffany Haddish threw her hat (as well as the rest of her clothes and, at one point, her wig) into the ring to take on the app’s extremely sexy Silhouette Challenge, which features Paul Anka’s “Put Your Head” On My Shoulder “,” Streets “by Doja Cat and, in the case of Tiffany, a cameo from her alleged boyfriend, Common. “For the Lovers”, the actress and comedian subtitles her video, however, like all the challenges of TikTok until we can all be horny again IRL, this is for everyone.
