The passenger was flying on an Air France flight from Paris to New Delhi on Friday, Reuters reported. Shortly after takeoff, the passenger would have started to behave aggressively and fight with other passengers.

At one point, the man allegedly assaulted a flight attendant and started knocking on the cabin door. The suspect’s name has not been made public.

The flight had an emergency landing at Sofia airport in Bulgaria at around 5 pm local time. The disturbing passenger was removed from the flight, which then continued on its way.

The flight finally arrived at its destination in New Delhi. The disruptive passenger was said to have been accused of endangering the safety of the flight. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and reportedly have not yet been able to identify the reason or explanation for the man’s behavior.

This is the last incident of an airplane being forced to deviate from its course due to someone’s misbehavior (or something) during the flight.

Fox News previously reported that a flight from Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, was forced to return to the airport last week after a cat allegedly attacked the plane’s pilot.

The flight, operated by Tarco Aviation, was on its way to Doha, the capital of Qatar, when the incident occurred, reports Sudanese Al-Sudani. An agency source says the plane was in the air for approximately 90 minutes before being forced to return to Khartoum International Airport.

The cat is believed to have “infiltrated” the aircraft the night before the flight, when the plane was parked in a hangar for cleaning.
