Syracuse, NY – Syracuse Orange will be the number 8 seed in this week’s ACC tournament in Greensboro, NC
Orange sowing was set when Clemson defeated Pittsburgh early on Saturday afternoon. The victory left Clemson with a conference record of 10-6 and the No. 6 seed. Syracuse finished 9-7 in the league. There is a chance that Syracuse will end up tied with North Carolina if Tar Heels loses to Duke tonight.
However, North Carolina would win the tiebreaker and take seventh place.
Syracuse will open the ACC tournament on Wednesday with a second round game that is scheduled to start at noon.
Orange’s opponent for that game will not be decided until the conclusion of the North Carolina game. Duke tonight at Chapel Hill.
If Tar Heels wins, Syracuse will face North Carolina on Wednesday. If Duke wins, Syracuse will have a meeting with the Blue Devils.
