Pokémon sword and shield bug sends Snorlax flying through the air

A particularly funny Pokémon Shield bug that circulated online this week sent Snorlax flying through the air and moving away, which was a common sight for such a large Pokémon. The bug is not the one that players would normally encounter in the game, as it occurred in a hacked version of Pokémon Shield which made it even rarer and much better now that we’ve seen it.

The bug in question was shown on social media by the Twitter user octozepelin who shared the clip below that showed Snorlax in flight. The player ran across a bridge only to have a Snorlax float by them without being overwhelmed by the enormous weight the Pokémon is normally known for. When asked by another user if the Pokémon was okay, the original poster replied with another clip showing Snorlax flying away.

Naturally, the scene generated all kinds of edits from people working with music and other animations in the clip that fit best. All of this combined with the video itself made the clip quite popular, being seen more than 1.6 million times on Twitter at the time of publication.

If you are looking for a flying Snorlax in your game now after watching this clip, you will be disappointed to find that you are unlikely to find any. The bug shown in the video above did not happen in a normal reproduction of Pokémon Shield and was experienced in a hacked version of the game. The user who shared the video said he was playing with a randomizer hack that made the Pokémon appear outside its normal environments and locations and added that this is not the first thing they saw go wrong in a funny way.

News on Pokémon sword and shield front has been quiet lately after the launch of Crown Tundra DLC that was released not long ago, but the games were updated this month for players to download. A new trailer has recently been released to show some of the Pokémon that players will encounter in the Galar region, but if you’ve been playing the games for some time, you’ve probably already met some, if not all. .
