A pilot was heard giving a rant about the San Francisco Bay area earlier this month, the reports said.
The bizarre diatribe was captured on the air traffic control scanner at Mineta San Jose International Airport, according to the blog One Mile at a Time.

The unidentified pilot connected the city and the “liberals” who live there and “strangers probably driving around in fucking Hyundais” below.
At one point he said, “F — this place.”

The authenticity of the recording was confirmed by Live ATC. The pilot and the airline were not identified. “We cannot confirm or verify who made these comments,” the company said in an email to SF Gate.

Airport spokeswoman Demetria Machado called the communication “unprofessional” and said she forwarded it to the Federal Aviation Administration.
“The FAA is investigating communications made by an airline pilot while taxiing at Mineta San Jose International Airport last week,” said FAA spokesman Ian Gregor. “The FAA also reported the incident to the airline.”
“FAA regulations prohibit airline pilots from talking about matters unrelated to the safe conduct of their flights while taxiing and flying below 10,000 feet in altitude,” the statement continued, according to the newspaper.

Mineta San Jose International Airport is located about 50 miles southeast of downtown San Francisco.
