Pelosi will join US Representative Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, the House’s majority leader, as guest speakers amid an impeachment attempt by President Donald Trump.

Pelosi’s visit is one of many high-profile political figures in recent months toward the 2020 election cycle, which includes the first South Democratic presidential primaries in South Carolina.

Pelosi, a Democrat who has represented her district in the San Francisco area in Congress since 1987, is 10 months into her second term as mayor. She previously served as a speaker from 2007 to 2011.
