Evan Rachel Wood and four other women filed allegations of abuse against Manson.

The abuse allegations made about Marilyn Manson are being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Office of Special Victims is investigating allegations of domestic violence involving Mr. Brian Warner, aka ‘Marilyn Manson’, who works in the music industry,” he said in a statement. “The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011, when Mr. Warner lived in the city of West Hollywood.”

The allegations came to light after the abuse allegations about Manson by Evan Rachel Wood and four other women. Wood shared an Instagram post in which she accused Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, of abusing her “terribly” for years and said he started “treating” her when she was a teenager. The actress briefly became engaged to Manson in 2010 after meeting him when she was 18 and he 36.

Manson denied the charges in a statement shared on his Instagram. “Obviously, my art and my life have always been magnets for controversy, but these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he wrote. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “

Following the allegations, Manson was pulled from his label, Loma Vista Recordings, who said The Hollywood Reporter who would no longer promote Manson’s recent album or work with him on future projects. Manson also faced consequences in his acting career. A segment of the Shudder series Freak show which was set to star in Manson next season, will not air. Meanwhile, Starz’s American gods, in which Manson had a short recurring role, will also not air a remaining episode until Manson’s character is edited. He was also released by his CAA agency.
