Indie rock musician Phoebe Bridgers says Marilyn Manson he once showed her what he called the “r * pe room” in his home.
The 26-year-old singer tweeted on Thursday (February 4) that she visited MansonHe has been home for several years and he told her about the room with a disturbing name.
“I went to Marilyn Mansonhome when I was a teenager with some friends. I was a big fan, “she wrote.” He referred to a room in his house as the ‘r * pe room’, I thought it was just his horrible frat boy sense of humor. I stopped being a fan. “
She also offered her support to women who made allegations about Manson, accusing him of abuse, sexual assault and coercion.
“I am with everyone who performed,” she said.
In a separate tweet, Bridgers claimed that “the record company knew, management knew, the band knew”, although she did not specify exactly what they knew. “To distance yourself now, to pretend to be shocked and horrified is very pathetic,” she added.
Phoebethe comments come three days later “Westworld” actress Evan Rachel Wood claimed in a social media post that Manson “tidy” and “horribly” abused her for years. After she shared her charges, at least four other women posted their own charges against the singer. The women claimed to have suffered “sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation” at the hands of Manson.
Manson subsequently released a statement denying allegations of abuse made against him, writing in Instagram: “Obviously, my art and my life have always been controversial magnets, but these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with partners with similar interests. Regardless of how – and why – others now they are choosing to distort the past, that is the truth. “
In the days since wood presented his allegations, Manson was discarded by his label, Loma Vista Recordingsas well as the talent agency CAA, which provides representation to individuals in various media.
