“United We Servve” An MLK National Service Day celebration honored and celebrated the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday night on the PIC website and on social media. The “AAPI Inaugural Ball: Breaking Barriers”, which aims to celebrate the Asian American and Pacific Island communities, will feature performances of Japanese Breakfast, Ari Afsar, Raja Kumari and others. Actors Kal Penn, John Cho, Kumail Nanjiani and Chloe Bennet will also make appearances during the event.

“We Are One” Event
Terrence J will host the “We Are One” celebration of the black community and the African diaspora, which will feature guest appearances by Leslie Jones, Frankie Beverly, Stacey Abrams, elected senator Rev. Raphael Warnock, as well as performances by Tobe Nwigwe, DJ D -Nice, The O’Jays, Rapsody, Step Afrika, The String Queens, the Texas Southern University debate team and more. There will also be a Battle of the Bands college competition, with the participation of Florida A&M University Marching 100, Grambling State University World Famous Band, Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South, Louisiana Leadership Institute All-star Marching Band, South Carolina State University Marching 101, Southern University Human Jukebox Marching Band and Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands.

Inaugural Latin 2021: inheritance, resilience and promise
Eva Longoria will host “Inaugural Latin 2021: Inheritance, Resilience and Promise”, “a celebratory and inspiring tribute to our essential workers during the pandemic, Latin voters who appeared at the polls and the important and historic achievements of our community across the country. “Musical performances include Gaby Moreno; Gilberto Santa Rosa; Lin-Manuel Miranda and Luis Miranda; a performance produced by Emilio Estefan of “One World, One Prayer” by the Wailers featuring Skip Marley, Shaggy, Farruko and Cedella Marley; Mariachi Nuevo Santander presenting “This Land is Your Land”; and All-Star Tejanos United playing “America the Beautiful: A Salute to the Latino Imprint.” Becky G, Ivy Queen, Los Tigres del Norte, Rita Moreno, Edward James Olmos and John Leguizamo will also make guest appearances.

59th Inaugural Oath Ceremony
Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem, while Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks will make musical performances during the 59th Inauguration Ceremony. The captain of the pioneering firefighters, Andrea Hall, will take the oath of loyalty and there will be a reading of poetry by activist / poet Amanda Gorman.
Coverage for the inauguration ceremony begins at 10:30 am (Brasília time) on Wednesday, which will take place on the west front of the United States Capitol building. PIC will broadcast the event live on its website and also on its social networks. Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Bing, Fox NewsNOW and AT&T U-verse (Channel 212/1212 in SD / HD) and DIRECTV (Channel 201) will also broadcast the event.
Celebrating America special prime time
Tom Hanks will present the primetime special Celebrating America after the Biden and Harris inauguration ceremony. Artists during the 90-minute TV event include Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, Foo Fighters, Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard, and Ozuna and DJ Cassidy. Artists who “represent the rich diversity and great talent that America offers” will perform in “iconic locations across the country”. Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington will also be part of this special featuring “stories of young people making a difference in their communities” and also performers.
