The FBI released footage on Sunday of seven people suspected of assaulting a Washington DC police officer during the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol and of a person who officials said had placed bombs at the Democratic and Republican Party’s national headquarters.

“The FBI is seeking public help to identify these individuals involved in the attack on DC Metropolitan Police officer Mike Fanone,” said the statement accompanying the photos.
The photos appear to show seven men in the crowd, and the FBI asked anyone who recognized the individuals or had information to report them over the phone or over the phone. your site tip for the riots.

The FBI also announced that it is offering a $ 50,000 reward to anyone providing “information leading to the location, arrest and conviction of the person (s) responsible for placing suspicious bombs” near the headquarters of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the National Democratic Committee (DNC) ) on January 6.
The photos released show a person in a gray hooded sweatshirt carrying a backpack and wearing a mask.
The bureau noted in a statement that “several” law enforcement agencies were informed of a suspected bomb piped to the RNC around 1 pm. About 15 minutes later, reports of a second pipeline bomb arrived near the DNC headquarters.
DC police later confirmed on January 6 that the tubular pumps were found near the DNC and RNC headquarters in the afternoon.

The FBI has been working to identify those who participated in illegal activities on January 6, when a pro-President Trump crowd stormed the Capitol building, resulting in the deaths of five people.

Fanone, an MPD narcotics officer, told CNN that during the chaos, he was pulled into a crowd and given a Taser. The crowd picked up their equipment, spare ammunition, police radio and badge, and several shouted “‘Kill him with your own weapon'”.
“So, the other option I thought of was trying to appeal to someone’s humanity. And I just remember screaming that I have children. And it seemed to work, ”he told the network.
More than 60 people have been charged with crimes on Capitol Hill, according to the Justice Department, including Lonnie Coffman, who was arrested just because the police were investigating the bombs and noticed one of the weapons in his vehicle, according to court documents. Authorities do not believe Coffman is responsible for the bombs planted.
