Dr. Dre’s ex-wife Nicole Young accused him of abuse days before he suffered from a brain aneurysm

A few days before hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on suspicion of a brain aneurysm, his ex-wife Nicole filed divorce papers accusing him of years of violent and emotional abuse.

55-year-old music mogul – real name Andre Young – aimed a gun to his head, punched him in the face and threw it against the wall, lifting it by the neck, she said in court documents found by DailyMail.com .

Nicole, 50 – who is fighting in court for her part of Dre’s estimated $ 1 billion empire – has made shocking accusations in response to her future ex-husband’s statement last week that ‘I never abused Nicole or I physically threatened security ‘during their 24-year marriage.

Nicole criticized Dre’s statements as “blatant lies”.

“I explained in excruciating and painful detail the abuse that Andre perpetrated against me during our relationship of more than 25 years,” she said.

“Andre pointed a gun at my head on two occasions, on January 8, 2000 and November 20, 2001,” she said. ‘Andre punched me in the head / face on two occasions, in 1999 and on January 8, 2000.

‘Andre kicked the door to a room in which I was hiding from his anger in 2016,’ she added. ‘Andre has verbally and emotionally decimated my personality to the point that he currently suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome.’

Nicole acknowledged that Dre was right when she also stated in her statement that the police were never called to her home during the wedding.

But, she added, ‘Andre visibly omits the fact that the police were called in about September 1995, just before our wedding, after he threw me against the wall and lifted me off the floor by the neck.

‘During our marriage, I thought several times about calling the police, but as I got deeper into the abusive relationship, my fear of Andre overcame any confidence I had that the police could help me.’

On Dre’s claim that there is no documentary evidence of her abuse of Nicole, she added: ‘First, there is documentary evidence of her abuse that has been presented.

How much are Dr. Dre and Nicole Young distributing in lawyers’ fees?

It is no wonder that celebrities shell out millions in court fees when they get divorced.

Here is a look at the fees charged by the legal teams of Dr. Dre and his ex-wife Nicole.

His – led by one of Los Angeles’ top divorce lawyers, Laura Wasser, and a team of seven lawyers – costs the hip-hop star $ 5,565 combined … FOR THE TIME!

Hers – led by equally respected LA divorce lawyers Samantha Spector and Lisa Meyer with a team of seven lawyers – cost just $ 4,665 an hour combined.

Each team has seven lawyers and paralegals who earn $ 315 to $ 1,000 an hour. Good job, if you can.

‘It is misleading, revolting and insulting for André to suggest that I was not abused because, as a victim of relentless abuse and isolation, I did not create and maintain a contemporary record of the abuse inflicted on me.

“It is well known and accepted that most victims of domestic violence have no documentary evidence of their abuse.”

Shortly after her hard-hitting statement to the LA Superior Court, Nicole’s legal team met with Dr. Dre’s lawyers and the end result was that Dre – still in his hospital bed at Cedars Sinai in LA – signed this week an agreement that pays Nicole a total amount of $ 2 million in temporary support until the next hearing in April.

Since her separation in June, Dre had been paying Nicole $ 293,000 a month in support. But she is asking the court to force him to pay her nearly $ 2 million a month, plus $ 5 million for attorney fees, says Wasser calls it “exorbitant and outrageous”.

Nicole – who said in legal documents that Dre has more than $ 260 million in cash and Apple shares – says she has a right to continue the luxurious lifestyle she had as Mrs. Andre Young – which she said cost about $ 2 , 3 million per month.

To support her argument that she needs $ 2 million or more a month to maintain “her status quo”, Nicole filed a statement of income and expenses this week that lists monthly expenses of $ 2,530,000 – including $ 900,000 for entertainment, gifts and vacations, $ 135,000 for clothes, $ 30,000 for groceries and $ 10,000 for laundry and cleaning.

She listed zero income, but about $ 80,000 in cash and bank accounts.

Nicole accused Dre of “unrestrained and repeated marital misconduct” and she filed legal documents wanting to know if he had a child out of wedlock.

She also cited three of her alleged lovers – singer Jillian Speer, the model who became skin care entrepreneur Kili Anderson and Crystal Rogers, also known as Crystal Sierra, known as the “Queen of Latin hip-hop” – and asked a judge to summon them as witnesses at the divorce trial.

Nicole’s lawyers launched a campaign to have Dre’s lawyer, LA’s acclaimed divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, disqualified from the case because Wasser is now working with another lawyer who used to work for Nicole and Dre when they were together.

In legal documents found by DailyMail.com, Nicole’s lawyer Samantha Spector asked a judge to stop Wasser, saying that Howard King and his law firm, including Peter Paterno, have represented Nicole and Dre since creating a trust in April 1996 a month before they were married, through lawsuits and real estate transactions until 2020.

In a 2018 letter, King identified himself as ‘the lawyer for Young Family,’ said Spector – who added that, in 1996, King had even ‘provided Andre with legal advice regarding a potential premarital agreement with Nicole’.

The premarital agreement that the couple later signed is now the biggest bone of contention in the couple’s increasingly bitter divorce process.

“Nicole reasonably believed that King and the King firm represented her and Andre together, said Spector.

‘Nicole now learned that after filing her marriage dissolution petition, King provided Andre with legal services regarding the dissolution in a close and ongoing association with the Wasser firm.

‘California lawyers cannot dispense with clients like a hot potato to avoid conflict. They may not, under any circumstances, represent two customers at the same time whose interests are adverse.

‘And they cannot, without the informed and written consent of an ex-client, present another person on a substantially related matter adverse to the ex-client or where they need to use confidential information learned from the ex-client.

“But that’s exactly what Howard King and King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano (King) are trying to do here.

‘King has been actively working against his former client, petitioner Nicole Young and together with Wasser, Cooperman and Mandles (the Wasser Firm) since the dissolution case began in June 2020.

Consequently, both King Firm and Wasser must be disqualified to continue litigating in this dispute and prohibited from providing any legal services to the defendant, Andre Young, in relation to this action.

In her last statement to the court, Dre addresses Nicole’s cheating charges, revealing the content of an emotional email she sent her on the day she filed for divorce, June 29, 2020, in which she wrote: ‘No in my heart and in my gut, I know you are with other people.

‘I’m sure I don’t need to tell you the incredible amount of pain and pain I feel for knowing that you are not faithful …’

The biggest dispute issue in this increasingly hostile divorce has been the premarital agreement (PMA) that the couple signed just before they got married in Maui, Hawaii, on May 25, 1996

Nicole claims she was ‘coerced’ to sign the WFP and after their wedding, Dre tore it up in a romantic gesture of love for her. He insists that he did not force her to sign the WFP, he never destroyed it and was never changed.

Last week, he produced a 24-page copy of the WFP – signed by him and Nicole – in which he and she agreed to keep all income and assets acquired before and during the marriage separate, and also that the WFP could only be changed in writing.

Dre asked the court to determine whether the WFP is valid and enforceable.
