This sandwich was a real punch.
A man who ordered morning food at a Hamilton Heights deli apparently didn’t like the results. Law enforcement officials say he started fighting over the sandwich with a deli employee, identified by the police as Ali Zubaidi.
The 5 am meat continued outside the store on 3660 Broadway.
Zubaidi, 26, is accused of punching the face of the unidentified 29-year-old client and knocking him to the ground, police said. The victim cut off his hands and neck, police said.
Bronx’s Zubaidi was accused of assault.
A man who answered the phone at N&H Deli on Saturday afternoon said that Zubaidi had been working there for less than a month and that the offended client may be drunk.
