‘American Pie’ star Jason Biggs turned down Ted’s role in ‘How I Met Your Mother’

American Pie Jason Biggs revealed that he turned down the lead role of Ted Mosby in How I met your mother.

Ted ended up being played by Josh Radnor on the hit sitcom, which spanned nine seasons between 2005 and 2014.

“I was offered the role, yes,” Biggs confirmed as he spoke at SiriusXM’s The Covino & Rich Show.

“I was offered the role and it’s probably my biggest regret, you know, as I pass. I think I was in a phase of, at the time, sounding so unpleasant to say now, but at the time it was like, “OK, do I want to do TV?” I don’t know if I was ready to go that way ‘”.

‘Overview, I don’t regret it, ”Biggs – who played Jim in American Pie and a series of subsequent strings – added. “Right? I’m very lucky, very lucky. I’m still here. That’s number one.

“But yes, if I had to choose something that I would have liked to have done differently, I would have accepted that job for sure. Absolutely.”

In other news, Radnor, who starred as Ted Mosby in all nine seasons of How I met your mother, last year scoffed at the series on display for almost a decade, when its central premise was the equivalent of 15 minutes.

Radnor shared a DVD photo in a deleted Instagram post that contained the words: “How I Stretched A 15 Minute Story Into Nine [Fucking] Years ”painted an image of the show’s characters.

Elsewhere, co-star Cobie Smulders – who played Robin Scherbatsky on the show – revived his character’s alter ego Robin Sparkles for a new song ‘Stay At Home’ last year during the first coronavirus blockade.
