Allison Janney says a ‘germaphobe’ co-star asked her to put Neosporin on her lips before a kiss scene

Allison’s co-star Janney apparently had a hard time kissing the Oscar-winning actress.

The “mom” star, who appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday, revealed that a mysterious scene partner once asked her to apply Neosporin to her lips before filming a kiss scene.

Antibiotic ointment is used to reduce the risk of infections from minor skin injuries.

“Even before COVID, I had a scene partner with whom I had to kiss, and he was a germaphobic, he put Neosporin on his lips and asked me to put them on mine too, before he kissed me”, 61 year old remembered .

Janney, who declined to reveal the identity of his co-star, admitted that he did not know whether Neosporin would actually prevent the spread of germs or not.

“I took it personally, however,” she said. “Where does he think I put my mouth? It kind of unnerved me, but, you know, people are germaphobic.”

Janney clarified that the co-star in question was not Howie Mandel. Judge “America’s Got Talent” spoke publicly about having obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as misophobia, a pathological fear of germs and contamination, reported Page Six.

“You may think so, but no, it wasn’t Howie Mandel,” said Janney. “I won’t say who it was.”
