Abigail Breslin is fighting back after a social media user insulted her father, who is currently wearing a respirator after contracting COVID-19.
THE Little Miss Sunshine star revealed this week that his father, Michael Breslin, is under “great care” after the test is positive for the disease. “I’m asking for prayers and positivity sent this way to my father,” she wrote on Instagram.
One user commented, “A fake a– virus that kills only weak people.”
Breslin replied, “You’re disgusting” and posted a screenshot of the conversation in her feed on February 12. She added the caption: “People are like that because people like my father are fighting for their lives. Shame.”
She has been giving fans updates on her father’s health throughout the week. On February 10, the 24-year-old tweeted: “All I can say is this: Covid is never more real until you have experienced it firsthand or through a loved one. It is unpredictable and unforgiving. My father he was incredibly careful and hasn’t left the house since he started, except for medical appointments. Please be safe. PLEASE. ”
