‘Young Rock’ releases his Vince McMahon (exclusive)

Dwayne’s autobiographical NBC comedy “The Rock” Johnson, “Young Rock”, found his Vince McMahon in comedian Adam Ray, TheWrap discovered. In addition, the role of “Macho Man” Randy Savage is being played by Kevin Makely, we were told.

Ray, who voiced Slimer in 2016’s “Ghostbusters”, will play the future president of WWE as he rose through the ranks of his father’s promotional wrestling business. Makely, who starred in the western 2019 “Badland”, is a perfect cast as one of the most colorful characters in the WWF.

Below are descriptions of McMahon’s characters, Savage and the rest of the main fighters on this side of Dwayne’s own father, Rocky Johnson (played by Joseph Lee Anderson). Find our initial photos of Ray as McMahon and Makely as Savage at the bottom of the post.

Vince McMahon (Ray)
Bold, ambitious and quickly rising through the ranks of her father’s company, the future President and Owner of WWE is a great friend and supporter of Lia and a trusted confidant when things get tough for her with a rival.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage (Makely)
One of the greatest names of all time, the Macho Man is known for his extraordinary style and extraordinary personality inside and outside the ring. At just 10 years old, young Dewey was in love with his unmatched wrestling skills and unique promotional talent and knew immediately that he wanted to be like him when he grew up. His originality and unforgettable catchphrases were a big influence for him. Ooooh yes!

André the Giant (Matthew Willig)
Andre, one of the biggest stars in wrestling history, commands respect wherever he goes. Andre was very reserved and didn’t let many people in, but he was very close to the Johnson family and had a beautiful and unique relationship with Dewey, who idolized the 8th Wonder of the World.

Junkyard Dog (Nate Jackson)
Fun-loving and ready for anything, JYD had an electric personality and was not just a locker room leader, but a pioneer. Dewey was inspired by JYD because, like Rocky, he was one of the first black men to open up and make way for others.

The Iron Sheik (Brett Azar)
Former Olympic athlete from Iran, he is considered one of the greatest heels of all time. Despite his villainous wrestling personality, outside the ring, Sheik is a good friend of the entire Johnson family and known as “baby Sheiky” by little Dewey.

Afa (John Tui) and Sika (Fasitua Amosa) (also known as The Wild Samoans)
A legendary team, leaning towards their “wild” image in the ring, when the show is over, they are smart, loving and fiercely loyal to their family. Like Dewey’s uncles, they help him navigate life alongside his mother and father.

As promised, here is Adam Ray as Vince McMahon. Go to the gym, man.
