You are the frog at Peacock’s next physical competition show ‘Frogger’

What you get when you mix Takeshi Castle with Frogger, plus an explosion of nostalgia from the 1980s impregnated with hairspray? Apparently, a new program from NBC.

Peacock, NBC’s streaming platform, ordered 13-hour episodes of Frogger, a large physical competition show with 12 obstacle courses inspired by the classic game. This probably means a lot of neon, cartoon sets and a little bit of the Konami brand.

“These physically demanding challenges will cause competitors to dodge treacherous traffic, jump over hungry crocodiles and hippos to conquer the route,” says the press release.

The winner of each episode will receive a cash prize. Eureka Productions, the company behind The amazing Race and Dating, is launching the show now, and is open to US residents aged 18 or over. It will be filmed in Australia from the end of May to the end of June. Happy hop, hopeful.
