WWE backstage discussion on the need for four major fights for WrestleMania 37

Although there are supposed to be no better matches played for WrestleMania 37, the word now is that the WWE creative team started working on “bigger” ideas as soon as the officials made the decision to hold the event for two nights.

The belief now is that the company needs four main fights for WrestleMania 37 – two for each night, according to a new report from @Wrestlevotes. This probably requires outside help from important names like WWE Hall of Fame Bill Goldberg and John Cena.

Goldberg is currently engaged in two fights a year until 2023. His first fight this year will be at the Royal Rumble on January 31, when he challenges WWE champion Drew McIntyre. John Cena has been absent since losing to “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 last year, focusing on his Hollywood career.

It was also said that The Rock is unlikely to work at WrestleMania this year. As noted, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has suggested the possibility of taking on The Rock at Hollywood WrestleMania 39 in 2023.

Regarding The Undertaker, it has been noticed that he is “yet to be determined” for The Grandest Stage of Them All, but most people behind the scenes think he really finished this time, especially after his “Final Farewell” on the recent payment WWE Survivor Series -Vision. However, WWE President and CEO Vince McMahon has managed to convince Taker to return, as he has in the past. There was no real conversation about Brock Lesnar’s return to WrestleMania 37, but there are rumors about him.

WrestleMania 36 was also held over two nights and featured two special fights each night. At Night One, Braun Strowman defeated Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title, and The Undertaker defeated AJ Styles in the cinematic Boneyard Match. On the second night, Cena lost to The Fiend at the Firefly Fun House Match, in addition to the return of the WWE Hall of Famer Edge for the victory over Randy Orton in the Last Man Standing match. Night Two also saw Lesnar lose the WWE title to McIntyre.

WrestleMania 37 will take place on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
