World of Warcraft Patch 9.1: Chains of Domination leaked before BlizzConline

Just a day before the start of BlizzConline, big ads around World of Warcraft: Shadowlands leaked.

Domination Chains, the “first major content update” for Shadowlands, will bring with it a new area known as Korthia, a “Maw long-lost domain”, according to a recent Blizzard leak. Here, players will be able to take on new missions and progress with their characters through the final outdoor game content.

In addition to open world content, however, Domination Chains is presenting two new instances for Shadowlands: an instance and an attack. The attack, called the Sanctum of Domination, will be located at the top of Torghast’s tower and reportedly serves as the “headquarters of the jailer’s power”, according to the leaked content from Blizzard.

The leaks also suggest that players will be able to “come face to face with Queen Banshee herself in a fateful confrontation”. Still, it is unclear in what capacity Sylvanas Windrunner will be featured in the game’s newest raid.

The five-player dungeon, Tazavesh, Veiled Market, is “a mythical eight-boss mega-dungeon set in a mysterious Brokers’ bazaar … culminating in a high-risk assault to steal Azeroth’s powerful artifacts,” according to today’s leaks.

In addition to dungeons and raids, players can expect to find new seasons for both PvP and Mythic +, as well as new cosmetic armor and soul-linking powers for the newly introduced covenant system. Covenants are also expected to expand in Patch 9.1 with a maximum level covenant campaign extension.

The release date for Patch 9.1 has not been announced or leaked at this time.
