Woman found dead in Miami Beach identified as Christine Englehardt

This is Philadelphia’s 24-year-old spring breaker who was drugged, raped and found dead in a hotel room in Miami Beach.

Photos posted on her Facebook page show Christine Englehardt, a pizzeria manager, smiling while standing across the street from the beach last year, and smiling at the camera in another photo.

Another photo shows Englehardt kissing a dog, with the caption “My son forever”.

Last week, police said the lively restaurant worker was found dead and half-naked at the Albion Hotel in South Beach – where she was drugged and raped during spring break.

Two North Carolina men – Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24 – were arrested in the case on Monday for allegedly drugging Englehardt with a “green pill”, raping her and stealing her credit cards, according to the police and reports.

Police said Collier and Taylor were identified by surveillance footage at the hotel, which allegedly caught them arriving with the victim around 1 am on Thursday.

Englehardt was identified as a victim by the police, WBT-News reported.

Miami Beach detective Luis Alsina said during a hearing on Monday that Taylor could be seen “holding her by the neck so she could stand up”.

Collier reportedly told police that they met Englehardt at a local restaurant and gave him a drug that the police believed to be Percocet, Alsina testified.

The men then took out her credit card and knocked her unconscious.

Police are waiting for a coroner’s report to determine whether Englehardt died of the pill, sexual assault or another cause.

These tests can determine whether the two men, who are currently accused of theft, assault and sexual assault, will also face murder charges, police said.
