Wings of the City arrives in Greenville, SC









You may have put your wings Nashville or Los Angeles, but get ready to get a new set right here in Greenville.

Yesterday, the city of Greenville announced that we will be the first city on the east coast of the USA to host the monumental bronze sculptures collectionCity Wings – in world renowned mexican artist Jorge Marín.

THE nine sculptures will reach the city in April two and remain on display throughout Falls Park + on the campus of Peace Center until October. The city has partnered with Hispanic Alliance, a Jorge Marín Foundation, Bank of America, and others to guarantee the exhibition of this collection in Greenville. The collection should attract visitors from all over the region and Adela Mendoza, executive director of the Hispanic Alliance of SC, said: ‘Wings of the City’ highlights the importance of migration and cultural exchange that enriches societies… This world-class exhibition celebrates the global spirit of the interior of the state – symbolizing the human connection at a distance and the role of art as a universal language. “
