A 20-year-old member of the Patriots organization who just completed his 18th season in the team’s personnel department, Caserio has held his current title since 2008. He worked as a professional personnel director from 2004-06 before moving on to the technical side for three years. (recipients).
Thomas Dimitroff

Current function: He was fired as general manager of the Atlanta Falcons on October 11.
If the Broncos want the new general manager to have previous experience, Dimitroff may be at the top or near the top of the list. A longtime scout in Detroit, Cleveland and New England, Dimitroff was the general manager of the 2008-2020 Falcons and responsible for casting quarterback Matt Ryan.

Kelly marks two options that may be important – experience with the Broncos and familiarity with coach Vic Fangio. Kelly worked for the 2007-14 Broncos, going from university girl scout to assistant professional scout coordinator and assistant professional staff director.
Martin Mayhew

Current function: Vice President of San Francisco Players Team
A former player from Washington and Tampa Bay, Mayhew moved to the team five years after his retirement. He worked in Detroit from 2001 to 15, for the past eight years as a general manager. He was with the New York Giants in ’16 and the 49ers for the past four years.
Adam Peters
Current function: Vice President of Personnel for San Francisco Players
Peters began his NFL career in New England (2003-08), the first two as assistant scout and then advancing to scout in the area. Peters joined the Broncos in 2009 as a regional scout before becoming a national scout (2011-13), assistant director of university scouting (2014-15) and director of university scouting (2016).
Jerry Reese

Reese worked for the 1994-2017 Giants, moving from university scout to professional scout, to team player director and for 11 years as general manager, during which time the Giants won two Super Bowls.
Rick smith

Current function: He has not been associated with a team since he left the Houston Texans in 2017.
Another candidate with ties to the Broncos. He was the assistant coach for the 1996-99 team’s defensive back, before taking over as the professional staff director from 2000-05. The Texans hired him as general manager in 2006 and he served 12 years in that role, including the last six as GM / executive vice president of football operations.
John Spytek

Spytek worked for the 2013-15 Broncos as a scout from the southwest area (13) and national scout (14-15). He is in his fifth year with Tampa Bay and oversees the day-to-day operations of staff from the professional and university scouting departments. Spytek also worked for Philadelphia and Cleveland.
Dave Ziegler
Current function: Assistant director of New England players’ team
Ziegler completed his eighth season in the Scouts department of the Patriots and his first as an assistant director of the players’ team. He served four years as a professional personnel director and three as a professional scouting director. Before the Patriots, he worked for the Broncos for three years.
