Alabama is ending a No. 1 recruiting campaign, the highest rated class in modern history. Nick Saban will discuss the class at a 4 pm news conference at CT after Crimson Tide added two more members – Camar Wheaton and Terrion Arnold – on Wednesday.

– And let’s go. Saban said “it’s good to see everyone”.
– Saban is also happy to see the two new signatories on Wednesday, to add to the 25 who signed in December.
– Saban observed the transition from the recruitment effort to “virtual reality”, given the restrictions of COVID-19.
– “For the most part,” Saban said that they met their needs with this class 1.
– Saban liked the balance in this class, but again he repeated his point of talking about distrust in the recruitment rankings.
– Alabama has 15 early registrants, Saban said of the December group.
– Three of the four recipients who signed up are registered in advance. Saban said they need to use young receivers all the time, using the example of DeVonta Smith in the national title game against Georgia.
– Virtual home visits helped to establish relationships with families, said Saban. This allowed recruits to attend training. “Is it better in person? Yes, I prefer to have personal relationships, ”said Saban. Saban said. “Look, nothing is better than in person,” he added.
– Saban likes the RBs to come back with the addition of Camar Wheaton. “Everyone’s role will be different,” he said, and the way everyone embraces these new jobs will contribute a lot to success.
– Jalen Milroe “has a good disposition” as a defender. “He was one of the best in the country, in our opinion.”
– Regarding personnel changes, he said he is happy for those who sought better opportunities. He is also excited about the new NFL-experienced signings of Bill O’Brien and Doug Marrone.
– Saban said he always respected Bill O’Brien and said he did a very good job as an OC with the Patriots, then taking a difficult position at Penn State after the scandal. He also pointed to the playoff appearances he had with the Texans before he was fired.
– With two signatories interested in playing basketball, Saban said he is communicating with Nate Oats. They look good with players who join other teams on campus, but said the coincidence of the basketball season with football makes it all the more difficult. Some Michigan State players did both when he was there.
