What Biden had to say about Cuomo’s sexual harassment scandal

President Biden commented on Sunday about Governor Andrew Cuomo’s growing sexual harassment scandal – refusing to ask for his resignation, while saying he wants to see what results from the independent investigation into the allegations.

The president was asked by a White House reporter whether he thinks the three-term Democrat should step down, according to a report by the president’s press group.

“I think the investigation is ongoing and we should see what it brings,” said Biden.

Earlier on Sunday, Mayor Nancy Pelosi also refused to ask for Cuomo’s resignation, saying only that he “should look into his heart” to decide whether to resign.

“I think we should see the results of the investigation,” said the California Democrat in ABC News’ “This week. ”

“And what I’m saying is that the governor must look into his heart – he loves New York – to see if he can govern effectively. I think we should see the results of the investigation, ”she added.

The charges Cuomo faces led to an investigation by Attorney General Letitia James, and the New York State Assembly opened an impeachment investigation.

Several Democrats representing New York in Congress – including Sens. Kristen Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer – asked for Cuomo’s resignation.

Cuomo, 63, continued to deny the claims and promised not to submit to “canceling the culture” and resigning.
