A high-resolution version of a Justice League scene by Zack Snyder showing Superman in his black suit has been released online.
One of the elements left out of the theatrical cut of Justice League it was Superman’s black suit, which the character will wear in the director’s cut. Now, a high-resolution version of a scene with the Man of Steel in a suit has been released, which also shows Superman meeting Alfred.
When the scene begins, Alfred is working on a car when a sonic boom is heard above. Superman, now dressed in the black suit, lands and walks over to the terrified butler, just saying, “I assume you are Alfred.”
Snyder recently explained why he chose to wear the black suit of Krypton’s Last Child in his cut, always describing himself as “a very strong defender of the black suit”. Snyder said that wearing the suit made sense to him because “Superman is a notoriously non-growing character. He is like a rock and everything crashes against him”, adding that we learn about ourselves “by trying to change something that is immutable.”

The black suit was introduced to the “Reign of Supermen!” plot. Superman: the man of steel artist Jon Bogdanove designed the costume, while Action Comics artist Jackson Guice debuted in Action Comics # 689.
