Call of Duty: Warzone players are asking for a firing range to be added so that weapons and their accessories can be tested before being loaded into a game.
Although we would love to see the classic Shooting Range map in Black Ops Cold War and War Zone, players want to see a literal shooting range for testing weapons. Apex Legends has an incredibly useful firing range, with all items found on the map available for testing.
Although war zone players can fully customize their weapons with Gunsmith’s detailed system, there is no way to know how it works until you put it into a game.
Before being discovered by well-known weapon testers JGOD and TrueGameData, many of the descriptions of Cold War weapon attachments were incorrect in the War Zone. Because of this, players were building their weapons completely wrong without realizing it.

There is nothing worse than falling into Verdansk, picking up your luggage and realizing that the weapon you built is useless. Most players enter a game of Plunder to test their weapons, but this is time consuming.
In a Reddit post that quickly gained momentum, user ‘Lifeesstwange’ asked the developers of Warzone “can we please get a firing range?”
“I don’t care what it looks like, it could be a wall with a lot of targets on it,” they explained. “Simple is better. But it would be nice to have a mode that could be started from the loading / weapon screen, where someone could just shoot a few clips. ”
Previous Call of Duty games, such as World War II, featured an incredibly well-received firing range for the community. Warzone’s weapon creation is much more detailed, so players can use the system even more.
Modern Warfare already has a firing range built for the Trials game mode, so if Raven Software wanted to add one, the area was there waiting to be included.

Another benefit of the added firing range is that content creators would have a much easier time testing the weapons. Currently, they must queue up for a Plunder game to test the essential details of the weapons and their statistics. Their job would be much easier, which in turn would be of great benefit to the community.
War zone players are expecting a big event in the game that could lead to a new war zone map, so perhaps this much-requested feature will arrive in Season 2 or later.
