The latest WandaVision trailer suggested that the next series could include a musical episode and reminded fans of their Disney + debut on January 15.
The most recently WandaVision trailer suggested that the new Marvel Studios / Disney + series may include a musical episode.
WandaVisionlatest trailer debuted at Disney + ‘s Twitter she says, showing images of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany’s Vision wearing top hats and coordinating outfits that seem to have come out of a Bob Fosse show. In the clip, Bettany steps onto the front porch, exclaiming, “Hello, Westview!”
While the creative team is behind WandaVision has not yet confirmed a musical episode, it has been strongly suggested in interviews and promotions that a musical episode will take place. Previously leaked photos also showed Wanda dressed in a unique piece of bright red sequins that looks like something out of a musical number.
The new trailer was released on the same day that four new character posters were shared. In addition to posters showing Wanda and Vision, two additional posters feature the nosy neighbor on the couple’s side, Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) and an adult version of Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), the last of whom first appeared as a girl in Captain Marvel.
WandaVision marks the start of Phase 4 in the Marvel cinematic universe and should include characters and plot points that will continue at Marvel Studios and the third episode of Sony Pictures Spider man series of films as well as 2022 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Its official synopsis says,
Marvel Studios presents WandaVision, a mix of classic television and the Marvel cinematic universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two superpowered beings who live idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that not everything is what it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is the principal writer.
It was confirmed at the Disney’s 2020 Investor Day event that Mind Stone will be involved and that Wanda may have created the world within the show to deal with her pain after Vision’s death in Avengers: Infinity War. The series marks the first Marvel show to be released on Disney + – before The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki.
Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. WandaVision opens on January 15, 2021.
