VISIT TO THE ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF THE PHYSICS DEPARTMENT

The Department of Physics at Wofford College invites applications for one year as a visiting assistant professor of physics, starting in August 2021. Our preference is for individuals who have a commitment to teaching and an interest in developing engaging learning environments at a college. liberal arts. The workload for this position is equivalent to two classes and two laboratories per semester. There are opportunities to teach at the introductory and higher level, depending on interest and training.

18 hours of graduation are required for the appointment. A doctorate in physics (or closely related field) is highly desired, but a master’s in physics (or related area) will be considered. ABD candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with successful university-level teaching experience, as well as proven student mentoring experience.
