Viral photos show hordes of spiders piled on the bedroom ceiling

Too many spiders for a room.

A Twitter user shared a series of photos she says she obtained from a friend who made a scary discovery in her daughter’s room. The photos, which appear to be from Australia, show a large pile of spiders piled near the corner of the room.

A Twitter user named Petie R they shared the photos on their account with the caption: “Gaaaahhhhhhhh, a friend of mine in Sydney just walked into her daughter’s room and found this”. The photos show two corners of the bedroom ceiling and both are only covered by spiders. Both photos appear to have been taken near a window.

In response to a shocked commentator who called it an “arachnid invasion”, Petie R replied, “I would have gotten out of there so fast that it would make Flash look slow.”

A Twitter user commented, “Quick, get the flamethrower!” Fortunately, a more rational way social media user responded, “Nah, get the vacuum cleaner.”

Another user added, “I was told that I have the loudest scream that people have ever heard. If I walked this, you would hear me in orbit. “

According to The Sun, the spiders featured in the photos are Huntsman spiders. The species is known for its large size. They can achieve a leg span of 12 inches. Their diet consists mainly of insects, although they are known to eat small animals, such as geckos.

Huntsman spiders are generally considered to be of low risk to humans.

When someone pointed this out to Petie R on Twitter, she answered, “Oh I know. Even a big one is weird. They’re fast and bounce and they’re big. I pick them up and put them outside. That, however, would totally scare me.”
