Videos and photos show how San Antonio spent Snow Day 2021

SANTO ANTÓNIO – San Antonio residents woke up with an unusual sight Monday morning.

During the night, about 3-6 inches of snow covered parts of central and southern Texas, leaving landscapes worthy of images in neighborhoods and landmarks like the Alamo, River Walk and Hemisfair.

Although the winter storm resulted in power outages and dangerous conditions, residents took full advantage of the rare opportunity to play in the snow.

That meant ice angels in Alamo Plaza, snowmen in abundance and sleigh and kayak rides through the streets.
