A new flaw was apparently discovered in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and is linked to the last DLC fighter Sephiroth.
Under the right conditions, the winged angel of Final Fantasy VII can break another character’s Final Smash (and the animation of each move in that case) – dramatically reducing damage from the normally devastating attack and altering the visual effects from time to time.
To activate this single flaw, Sephiroth must defeat one of the Pokémon Trainer’s pocket monsters with his Shadow Flare attack. After that, the opponent’s Final Smash attacks will do little or nothing in terms of damage.
Below is a courtesy of a YouTube video from Nintendo Unity:
“Let’s see how a new failure can lead Sephiroth to absolutely break all Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.”
Again, this flaw requires some unique circumstances to activate – so you probably won’t find it in standard matches.
While we are sure that it will be resolved by Masahiro Sakurai and his team at some point, it should have no impact on the competitive side of the game – as Final Smash is not commonly used in tournaments.
