ORLANDO, Fla. – An SUV left Interstate 4 and landed on its roof on Kaley Street, prompting police to close the interstate near downtown Orlando.

The accident was reported around 6 am Monday morning at I-4 East, which was closed on Kaley Street. Two tracks were reopened about 30 minutes later and all tracks to the east were reopened before 8:30 am. Access ramps to the east on Michigan Avenue have also reopened.

Orlando police said a person sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert patient. Another victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

“The vehicle appears to have left I-4, colliding with Kaley,” said News 6 traffic safety expert Trooper Steve.
No further details about the accident were released.
