Matthew Modine is sparking a college admission scandal in a new trailer for the Netflix documentary Operation Varity Blues (premiering on Wednesday, March 17).
THE Weird stuff The actor plays Rick Singer, the man behind the scheme, in the document, which uses an “innovative combination of interviews and narrative recreations of the FBI’s tapped conversations between Singer and his clients,” according to the official synopsis. “Operation Varsity Blues it offers a rare glimpse of the enigmatic figure behind a scheme that exposed how far wealthy families would go for admission to elite colleges and angered a nation already struggling with the effects of widespread inequality. “
