[VIDEO] ‘Clarice’: trailer for the ‘Silence of the Lambs’ sequel series

Hello Clarice: The first full trailer of the next CBS movie Silence of the innocents the sequential series is finally here.

The psychological horror series (which opens Thursday, February 11 at 10 / 9c) stars Rebecca Breeds (The Originals, Pretty Little Liars) as FBI lead agent, Clarice Starling, and picks up a year after the events of the film. The series promises “a deep dive into Starling’s untold personal story as she returns to the field in 1993 … Her complex psychological makeup that comes from a challenging childhood enables her to start finding her voice while working in a man’s world, also to escape the family secrets that haunted her throughout her life, ”says the official description.

In the trailer (incorporated in an official tweet below), Starling can be seen being persuaded to return to work by senator who became attorney general Ruth Martin, while the federal agent appears to be struggling with the notoriety and fame stemming from the film Buffalo Bill case. The trailer also suggests Starling’s “old ghosts” from his childhood and a return to his former Appalachian stronghold.

The series – which definitely not be procedural – comes from Star Trek: Discovery EPs Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Joining Breeds in the cast are Michael Cudlitz (The walking dead), Kal Penn (House), Lucca de Oliveira (Seal Team), Nick Sandow (Orange is the new black), Jayne Atkinson (Criminal minds), Devyn Tyler (Clearance) and relative newcomer Marnee Carpenter. In addition, Shawn Doyle (The Expanse) plays the Quantico therapist Clarice and Tim Guinee (Homeland, Revolution) appears as the leader of a separatist militia group.

The second of five films following Thomas Harris’s Hannibal Lecter character, O Silence of the innocents she won five Oscars, including for Best Picture and Best Actress in a Leading Role, for Jodie Foster as Starling. A critically acclaimed prequel TV series by Bryan Fuller, cannibal, followed in 2013 and ran for three seasons on NBC.
