If Xavier Becerra is confirmed by the Senate as secretary of Health and Human Services, America will have “our version of [WHO Director-General] Tedros [Ghebreyesus], “Hoover Institution senior colleague Victor Davis Hanson told The Ingraham Angle on Monday.
“He is a very effective radical left-wing politician,” said Hanson of Becerra, a former California congressman and current state attorney general. “He has spent the past 40 years running for office or being an elected official or nominated official. He has no experience in the private sector. He knows nothing about health.”

Hanson later pointed out that Donald Trump’s two HHS secretaries were more qualified to hold the position than Becerra. Former Georgia MP Tom Price, he noted, was a doctor, and Alex Azar had been an executive at pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly & Co.

Hostess Laura Ingraham also pointed out that Becerra has been a staunch supporter of abortion rights and said that illegal immigration is not really illegal because border crossers “have not committed any crimes against anyone”.
Hanson added that Becerra’s choice for Biden also sounds very similar to Barack Obama’s choice of Charles Bolden to become NASA administrator.

Bolden created a firestorm after telling an Al Jazeera interviewer that Obama wanted him, among other goals, “perhaps most of all … to find a way to reach the Muslim world and become much more involved with predominantly nations.
