As part of the update, MiHoYo’s popular free open-world game wins a new seasonal event, Lantern Rite. The teaser trailer is below:
You help the inhabitants of Liyue with the preparations for the festival and can attend the grand ceremony on the night of the first full moon of the year. Expect to see lots of lanterns lighting up the night sky.
Meanwhile, Liyue’s streets will be filled with food stalls and activities, including a new tower defense strategy game called Theater Mechanicus.
Lantern Rite adds Xiao, the Vigilant Yaksha, as a new playable five-star character. Here is Xiao’s official synopsis:
