Fight fans can now take a behind-the-scenes look at Conor McGregor’s recent TKO defeat to Dustin Poirier, when the promotion launched his patented UFC 257: ‘The Thrill and the Agony’ video on Friday.
UFC 257, which took place last weekend live on ESPN + PPV on “Fight Island”, was marked by a massive rematch between McGregor and Poirier. The main lightweight event ended early, with Poirier defeating “Notorious” by technical knockout in the second round, but the PPV card was still a resounding success. According to previous reports, UFC 257 released 1.6 million PPV purchases without any problems.
It was a great success for Poirier, to say the least. “Diamond” not only avenged a previous defeat for McGregor, but it did so in front of millions of fans. Poirier also caught the next chance for the undisputed UFC lightweight title (whenever it happens). In addition, he got the biggest payout of his career and also caused McGregor to kindly donate $ 500,000 to his Good Fight Foundation.
After the fight, Poirier’s wife, Jolie, searched for McGregor behind the scenes. She managed to gain access to the Irishman’s dressing room to pay tribute to the fight and personally thank “Notorious” for her generous donation to the Good Fight Foundation.
