Although Perry said he ordered it on December 2 and was told it was shipped two days later, he still hasn’t received it.
“Is anyone else having this problem?” he asked on Twitter.
Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia governor candidate, offered some advice.
“Hey (Perry), we got you. Did you request a ballot, but didn’t get it? Vote in person on election day! Just tell the person at the check-in table that you want to cancel your ballot and vote in person,” Abrams wrote on Twitter.
Perry did just that – taking a flight to Georgia to vote. CNN was unable to confirm where it flew from.
“Hey (Abrams), I flew home because I didn’t understand. I’ll be there early in the morning. Very important to lose. Very important to lose!” He wrote.
At about 11 am on Tuesday, civic duty was fulfilled, Perry said in a video posted on Twitter. And he encouraged others to do the same.
“Get out and vote, get out and vote, get out and vote, get out and vote,” he said.
Democrats need to win both seats to force a 50-50 Senate and gain control, as Vice President-elect Kamala Harris would cast a possible tiebreaker vote. If any of the incumbents retain their seats, the Republicans will retain control.
