Trent Reznor in Marilyn Manson Memoir Sexual Assault Claim

Earlier in the week, Wood said in a statement posted on his Instagram account: “My attacker’s name is Brian Warner, also known worldwide as Marilyn Manson. He started preparing me when I was a teenager and terribly abused me for years . I was brainwashed and manipulated to submit. I am tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. “

She continued: “I am here to expose this dangerous man and summon the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins more lives. I have the many victims who will not remain silent.”

Following her posting, four other women made equally horrible allegations against Manson.

The actress and activist spoke for the first time about her experience as a sexual assault survivor in late 2016, revealing that she was raped twice, identifying one of her attackers as an important person who abused her while they were together.

In his own statement, Manson called the allegations “horrible distortions of reality”.

“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners,” he wrote. “Regardless of how – and why – others are choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”

Since the allegations came to light, Manson has been dropped by his label Loma Vista Recordings and removed from episodes of the Starz series American gods and the Shudder horror series Freak show.
