Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse fined $ 50,000 for playing mask against bleachers, profanity

TAMPA, Florida – The NBA fined Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse $ 50,000 for throwing his mask behind the gunner’s table and toward the stands, as well as directing a profanity to the game officials before leaving the court at end of a game on Friday night.

The league announced the beautiful Sunday.

The nurse was upset by Toronto’s 115-112 loss to Utah Jazz, a game in which Jazz hit 41 free throws, compared to 14 for the Raptors.

After the game, the nurse said “it just didn’t look like they were going to let us win tonight”, without giving details. The 27-shot difference in free-throw attempts between the teams was the second biggest in the NBA this season, offset by Houston’s 28-shot difference over the Golden State on Wednesday.

Earlier on Sunday, the Raptors were throwing 4.5 free throws per game less than their opponents this season, the second biggest disparity in the league. Chicago wins 5.0 less per game than their opponents.
