‘Too bad it didn’t work’

Madison LeCroy appears to be confirming that she had a brief affair with Kristin Cavallari’s ex, Jay Cutler.

On Sunday, the Southern Charm star, 30, shared images of old text messages between her and Cutler, to whom she was recently linked after the separation from former NFL star Cavallari.

“Jay held out his hand to Madison and they spent time together. She flew to see him after filming the Southern Charm meeting last month, “a source previously told PEOPLE.

Before sharing his text messages, LeCroy posted a photo on his Instagram Story on Saturday, of her drinking a large margarita, writing on the spot, “Cheatin”. Then, on Sunday, the mother of one of them shared a video of herself talking to the camera sitting outside and saying, “It looks like I’m going to have to leave some receipts. I hate doing this … but.”

Then LeCroy shared a screenshot of his alleged texts with Cutler, 37, in his Instagram story. In the first message, LeCroy, who lives in Charleston, South Carolina, asked Cutler, who lives in Nashville, “Why are you coming here? Why didn’t you tell me anything.”

“To go out with you,” said Cutler, to which the star Bravo replied, “Well, you have to ask me.”

When Cutler asked LeCroy if she would like to leave next week, she said, “Ask me or tell me that you have already booked.”

“Don’t stress about it,” replied Cutler. “I brought the flight yesterday because it was the last straight. If it doesn’t work, I can move to another time.” He then texted back, “Perfect”.

Meanwhile, some online fans are speculating that LeCroy deleted some of his text message responses to Cutler before posting his “receipts” publicly.

In his second conversation, which apparently occurred more recently, LeCroy’s first message to Cutler said, “Why would I do that.” Cutler replied, “It was hinted and my name was included, which I don’t appreciate.”

LeCroy replied, “Jay, I did nothing but respect you and your privacy. I respect you and your family and would never say anything that would put you and your family at risk.”

“That didn’t seem to be the case,” said Cutler. “Maybe it was accidental. I don’t know. Nobody wants this mess. I appreciate you saying that. I think we can all respect each other and move on. At the very least.”

Then, LeCroy said to Cutler, “I’m disgusted by the whole situation. You came to me … Your intentions may not have been pure, but you may be projecting. I never said anything about Kristin or me. I got into this honestly with good intentions. I don’t want to participate in a rematch or drama. But you started and chased. If you weren’t interested in something real, you shouldn’t … “, said the text message, with the next word being blocked before it was completed , “with me”.

To cover the expletive, LeCroy wrote in the post: “I was silent until I was called a liar …”

On Sunday, LeCroy also shared a selfie of her and Cutler in his Instagram story and wrote, “Too bad it didn’t work out.”

LeCroy’s posts came just days after Cutler and Cavallari – who share sons Camden Jack, 8, Jaxon Wyatt, 6, and daughter Saylor James, 5 – both shared a photo together on Instagram on Friday, giving fans hope for reconciliation after divorce. (The couple married in 2013 and filed for divorce in April last year. They reached a joint custody agreement in May).

“The world is full of users. 10 years. You can’t break it, ”wrote the two ex-boyfriends in the image caption.

At the time, fans speculated that Cavallari and Cutler posted the corresponding photo and caption the day after LeCroy did an Instagram Live referencing them.

However, a source told People that Cavallari and Cutler are not together again. “They are friends and singles. They will always be one after the other, no matter what,” said the source.

PEOPLE also confirmed that Cavallari broke up with comedian Jeff Dye, to whom she had a romantic connection for the first time in October.

Cavallari also fueled dating rumors last month with Southern Charm star Austen Kroll – who split from LeCroy in the current season of the Bravo series, after years of dating. Cavallari, Kroll and Craig Conover made headlines while documenting their Nashville night in December, and in a video, Kroll put Cavallari on his shoulders and danced.

However, the Very Cavallari later, the star addressed the speculation of the novel, sharing a clip of herself rolling her eyes over her Instagram story and writing, “I didn’t know that FRIENDS who are expensive are not allowed.”

Kroll, 33, also denied that he and Cavallari were a romantic affair during an episode of See what happens live with Andy Cohen last month. “Kristin has left a 10-year relationship – she’s not looking for anything,” said the Bravo star, adding timidly, “She’s certainly just living her best life.”

Kroll has had a roller coaster relationship with LeCroy over the years, often breaking up and getting back together. During an episode of Southern Charm which aired last month, the duo officially gave up.

LeCroy, who shares the 8-year-old son Hudson with her ex-husband, told People in an exclusive interview after the episode that she reached her breaking point after watching Kroll ignore the social detachment guidelines during the pandemic and contract COVID- 19.

“I feel like he never took it seriously,” she said. “For me, that was just selfishness. I thought that if we were going to be in this close relationship, we should have gone through [quarantine] together. Instead, he continued the party. “

“Austen does everything that benefits him,” added LeCroy. “He doesn’t make a commitment. He just isn’t ready for a serious relationship and this situation confirmed it.”
