Tony Romo has been known as a kind of football sage since he entered the broadcast booth and walked away from the football field after the 2016 season.
As it was confirmed that the Kansas City Chiefs would play against Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl LV, Romo’s clip of the week 12 showdown of the two teams has resurfaced. The Chiefs survived the Buccaneers 27-24, but the former defender said he had a feeling they would meet again.

“I’m going to guess here,” said Romo. “I think there is a better chance than a good one, I don’t know what that percentage is, that these two are here in Tampa [for the Super Bowl]. “
Kansas City moved to 10-1 with the victory over Tampa Bay in week 12. Patrick Mahomes made 37 to 49 with 462 yards, three touchdown passes and 28 running yards. These were impressive numbers, but the Buccaneers did it next and it may have been just as incomprehensible.

It would be the last time Tampa Bay would lose during the season.
The Buccaneers would have a week of goodbye in Week 13 and then managed four consecutive wins to end the season just one game behind the New Orleans Saints for the NFC South title.
They would then join three consecutive wins on the road to reach the Super Bowl.
