Tony Buzbee presenting testimonials, evidence from Deshaun Watson’s accusers

The lawyer representing 12 women who allege sexual assault by the NFL quarterback, Deshaun Watson, said in an Instagram post on Saturday that he will present testimonials and evidence to support the case.

Tony Buzbee, who has so far filed seven lawsuits against the Texas quarterback, says his company will send the material to the Houston Police Department and the Houston public prosecutor. He also said he would ask a grand jury to consider the evidence.

“Following the advice of a well-known criminal defense lawyer: Our team will present statements and evidence from several women who have had experiences with Deshaun Watson, to the Houston Police Department and to the Houston District Attorney on Monday morning,” wrote Buzbee. “We will request that a grand jury be formed to consider the evidence we provide.”

Five more lawsuits against Watson will be opened “in due course,” Buzbee said during a news conference on Friday.

The lawyer added that his law firm has spoken to “more than 10 additional women” who have made similar allegations against Watson. Many of the women are massage therapists, and one of them claims that she was forced to have oral sex at Watson.

Another Watson accuser said that “it was clear that Watson wanted a massage for just one reason – sex”, claiming that he acted “aggressively” and touched her with his genitals.

An NFL spokesman said on Thursday that “the matter is under review”, while the Texans issued a statement saying they would remain in constant communication with the league during the investigation.

On Friday, Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said his client would publicly address sexual assault charges against him in the coming days. TMZ Sports reported on Saturday that Watson is “adamant” for not being guilty of the graphic allegations.

The website also added that Watson, 25, “insists he never crossed the line” with the alleged victims, and he “strongly believes that they are being led by a money-hungry lawyer who is looking for payment”.

Watson, who signed a $ 156 million four-year extension in 2020, is not looking to reach monetary deals with women, according to TMZ. Hardin said on Friday in a statement that the various allegations “are without merit” and urged people to “keep an open mind” until they comment publicly after a review.
